Position Title: Desktop Applications Analyst I
Position Purpose: This position is responsible for assisting with the conceptualizing, designing, development, implementation, maintenance, support, and enhancement of enterprise and standard desktop application products used throughout the Cooperative to meet business objectives. This position is assigned to specific software applications used within the business units that utilize various technology platforms to include client/server and web-based applications. This position collaborates with internal and external customers and works with Information Services and Telecommunications (IS&T) colleagues to ensure compliance of technology solutions and participates in the full application life cycle. This position may assist with project leadership for small projects, and work with others to meet project deadlines. This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber-related assets or systems.
Qualifications: To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have knowledge of information technologies at a level acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in computer science or other related disciplines; or a two-year degree in Computer Science or related discipline and two years of related work experience in business application development and implementation of desktop enterprise wide systems experience. A conceptual knowledge of structural, design, development, and integration techniques and knowledge of desktop application systems development, selection, configuration, and implementation criteria are required. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to manage time, provide estimations of time required to complete work, and adapt by developing technical and professional skills are required. Excellent customer service skills and time management skills are required. The incumbent must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
