Cudd Pressure Control (CPC) is hiring a Diesel Mechanic at its Mt Pleasant, MI district. Also actively seeking military service members (all military occupational specialties) transitioning out of the service or recently separated wanting to start a career in the oil & gas industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote and participate in all required safety, compliance and certifications programs. Participate in rig up of connection hoses and high-pressure iron equipment. Maintain all required log books and inspection reports. Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and fuel and service units. Maintain assigned equipment and perform daily inspections to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements. Report all operational deficiencies to supervisor and maintenance personnel. Proficiently perform equipment inspection and maintenance as requested and complete paperwork. Operate equipment in accordance with company procedures. Maintains general housekeeping, clean up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job. Practice safe driving procedures when traveling to and from locations. Participate in required company training and service line career development training.
SKILLS: Excellent communication, technical writing, and public speaking skills. Able to be on call 24/7 when scheduled to work. Willing to work long hours. Able to pass DOT physical and drug screen. Able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions. Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Safely operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment. Maintain effective working relationship with other employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following: Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections, as needed. Follows supervisor guidance concerning all Frac related operations. Attends all required safety meetings (on-site and off). Performs several manual labor , as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES: Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required.
Language Skills: Must be able to speak, read and write English well enough to read technical documents and effectively communicate with team members.
Computer Skills: Must be able to use a Windows-based personal computer.
Certifications/Licenses: Must maintain a valid CDL license with applicable endorsements.
Physical Requirements: this position may be required to complete a functional test quantifying the physical requirements for the essential functions of the position. Employee must be physically able to perform all essential job function required in this position, with or without a reasonable accommodation. While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, hear, talk and smell. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Must be able to perform, as needed, to include, but not limited to, climbing ladders and/or stairs, working on equipment, lifting, swinging hammers, and working in the elements. May be required to wear or use a respirator.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Complies with all Company Quality Management System Standards, Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions. Supports the CES Quality Policy Statement. Performs all work in accordance with established RPC and Company specific Policies, Procedures.
