Position Overview

General Technician Assembly starting at $19.74 with pay progressions and benefits effective Day 1.

Monday thru Thursday 5 am to 3:30 pm with potential overtime.  This is a standing role and you will be expected to lift up to 36 lbs.

In this role you will:

Read and follow work procedures
Work in areas that are hard to reach and in awkward positions
Maintain equipment, read blueprints and understand bow layouts
Install front and rear bulk head start group
Install overhead lining sheet
Performs any other assigned task
Stand, crouch, climb 10 hours per day (in addition to overtime) in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with intermittent noise, fumes, solvents and paints

Basic Requirements

At least 3 months of mechanical hand tools experience
OR

At least 3 months of power tools work experience

Additional Requirements

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) This position is safety sensitive and may involve the operation of vehicles, operation of equipment, and/or involve work with power tools, or handling of hazardous materials, that could result in injury or damage to person/property/manufacturing process

Desired Skills

Hand tool experience using wrenches, clamps, benders, and box knives
Power tool experience using power drills and fastening tools
Ability to achieve high performance goals with changing work directions
Good mechanical aptitude
