Local truckload carrier has an immediate position for a Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative to help meet our customer transportation needs.

Responsibilities and Duties
Be a reliable and dependable employee who shows up to work regularly and understands the high level of responsibility and accountability demanded from our customers and from us as a company. Manage the freight chain from customers request to delivery in an efficient and cost effective manner. Manage drivers to meet on-time requirements and efficiency levels - meet company minimum on-time performance levels. Maintain and dispatch load assignments to drivers to ensure we have enough coverage to meet customer needs. Following up to ensure deliveries are on schedule according to the plans. Notify customers well in advance of potential late deliveries (both shipper and the receiver). Manage and resolve trouble issues within your operation. Organized, attention to detail, self-starting, solid follow-through and multi-tasking. Ability to interact with drivers and communicate instructions verbally over the phone.
Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years full-time work experience; college degree preferred. Vast understanding as it pertains to the Department of Transportation Hours of Service. Ability to deal with a sporadic high stress environment. Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills. Strong work ethic, solid negotiation and conflict-management skills.
Above average email management, computer and typing skills. 2 plus years dispatching experience and/or prior customer service skills preferred.
