Senior Operations Manager
The Onsite Senior Operations Manager provides leadership and direction to VW staff across operations. Helps to meet and exceed customer and departmental objectives to better the overall company. This is achieved by organizing staff, delegation tasks, using extrapolated metrics into usable measures. Responsibilities: Complete one standing audit a week, looking for safety issues, employees following SOPs, and any improvement opportunity. Attend each Supervisor’s start up meeting at least once a week. Ensure supervisors are keeping up with their direct reports time daily. Ensure all yearly refresher training of direct reports on SOPs. Promote a positive culture of Respect, Honesty, Fairness and Consistency. Coach/Mentor direct reports. Assist in meeting all KPIs. Report any open positions to the shift Senior Operations Manager Manage customer requirements systematically as well as physically. Manage equipment assigned to the operations. Keep up to date all operating procedures pertaining to the operations. Create processes and documents to better meet and exceed customer standards. Performs additional duties as required under the direction of the Senior Operations Manager. Adheres to safety guidelines. Coaches Supervisor on needs and changes for the operation. The Operations Manager is the face Tranco during audit and customer visits pertaining to VW onsite. Check all forms being sent in as official to VW for correctness. Manage employee headcount and necessary discipline. Performs job duties with no assistance or supervision. Independent judgment is required. Performs additional duties as required under the direction of the Senior Operations Manager and Director.
Requirements:
Educational: Be able to read, write and speak fluent English. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. 2+ years of applicable field experience. Bachelor degree in related field is preferred.
Technical: Quality standards knowledge. Use of all MHE pertaining to operations. Use of VW dashboard for new Hire badging Ability to write professional emails Ability to use Microsoft Office
Physical: Regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds Occasionally move and/or lift up to 100 pounds (with assistance) Standing up to 12 hours at a time.
Environment: Work is performed in a High noise, in a manufacturing environment with the associated hazards.
Training: Requires on the job training as required to meet job requirements Requires special skills based on extensive training and experience. On-going job training to meet the job requirements.
